The final 24 hours

We are now standing at the threshold of the birth of Aiden. In English class last night I was taking a glance at "The Raven" by Edgar Allan Poe and noticed that in this classic poem, Poe uses the name Aidenn spelled with a second "n" I thought this was interesting and so I shared it with Rachel. Neither of us had even realized this despite the fact that we both talk about how well versed we are in works of this fascinatingly creative author. I am not certain that this totally warrants any last minute changes to the proposed way of spelling Aiden's name, however it is noteworthy in that the principal idea must be discussed with Aiden when he is old enough to understand the metaphoric concepts of Poe's writing. Perhaps a Poe piece is not exactly meant to be shared with the very young of modern civilization, however it is undoubtedly a thing to be treasured and shared with all young men and women becoming of the age to perfect the art of freely thinking.

The scheduled cesarean section is tomorrow at 10:30am and we have been requested to show up at the hospital promptly at 8:30 am. This will be so that they can get us checked in, prepared, and underway in the delivery of our precious second son. Jacob will soon have a little brother, and we have discussed the idea that we think he already knows something about the impending addition to our little family because he has already most certainly come to terms with the fact that there is now a second car seat ridding around in the back of the car with him, and that this second car seat is not his. Therefore, we are rather sure that Jacob understands he will soon be having a little brother riding around in the back seat with him.

I will be trying desperately to update any relevant news, photos, or videos as promptly as possible of this monumentous milestone event. Although, please realize that I will also be enjoying it as well so I urge you ahead of time to grant me a slight bit of slack in response times to the latest updates only because I will be concentrating primarily on enjoying the presence of my growing family over the next 24-48 hours.

October Update

Lilypie Pregnancy tickers

October is now upon us and as the month closes and the large mass of children hiding their identities behind their custom costumes begin to roam the streets in search of various marvelous treats, we ourselves inch towards the closing of another pregnancy which concludes with the welcoming of Aiden.

As the days are each crossed off of the calendar and the final day of the month draws near, excitement overwhelms me with anticipation of meeting my youngest son Aiden Xavier Hiett. Oh how my heart yearns for him to be near me. Oh, what joyous pleasure shall become of his eldest brother and I when we can all learn and play together.

Rachel is working tirelessly at finding a fitting halloween themed outfit for young Aiden to wear home from the hospital and we are now about to purchase an infant's car seat which will enact as his fine chariot for that fantastic ride home to a yet unknown location.

Heaven is no trick,
Hell is no treat!
