Born April 3 2012 8:40pm

The similarities in our two children appearance wise has been noted to us. To be able to share this occurrence with all interested parties I have submitted these two photos which display both of the children within a very short time after their birth. Both of these photos were taken by the proud pappy before the momma had even recovered from the foggy haze of the anesthetic introduced for the purpose of performing the cesarean section. When you compare the physical features and appearance of these two children, I must say, they do clearly have a significant portion of shared genetic material.

My two sons, I love you each unconditionally. May each of your lives be filled with ample love, joy, and prosperity. Be a part of one another's lives and share a brotherly bond that no outside force is able to understand or undermine.

The final 24 hours

We are now standing at the threshold of the birth of Aiden. In English class last night I was taking a glance at "The Raven" by Edgar Allan Poe and noticed that in this classic poem, Poe uses the name Aidenn spelled with a second "n" I thought this was interesting and so I shared it with Rachel. Neither of us had even realized this despite the fact that we both talk about how well versed we are in works of this fascinatingly creative author. I am not certain that this totally warrants any last minute changes to the proposed way of spelling Aiden's name, however it is noteworthy in that the principal idea must be discussed with Aiden when he is old enough to understand the metaphoric concepts of Poe's writing. Perhaps a Poe piece is not exactly meant to be shared with the very young of modern civilization, however it is undoubtedly a thing to be treasured and shared with all young men and women becoming of the age to perfect the art of freely thinking.

The scheduled cesarean section is tomorrow at 10:30am and we have been requested to show up at the hospital promptly at 8:30 am. This will be so that they can get us checked in, prepared, and underway in the delivery of our precious second son. Jacob will soon have a little brother, and we have discussed the idea that we think he already knows something about the impending addition to our little family because he has already most certainly come to terms with the fact that there is now a second car seat ridding around in the back of the car with him, and that this second car seat is not his. Therefore, we are rather sure that Jacob understands he will soon be having a little brother riding around in the back seat with him.

I will be trying desperately to update any relevant news, photos, or videos as promptly as possible of this monumentous milestone event. Although, please realize that I will also be enjoying it as well so I urge you ahead of time to grant me a slight bit of slack in response times to the latest updates only because I will be concentrating primarily on enjoying the presence of my growing family over the next 24-48 hours.

October Update

Lilypie Pregnancy tickers

October is now upon us and as the month closes and the large mass of children hiding their identities behind their custom costumes begin to roam the streets in search of various marvelous treats, we ourselves inch towards the closing of another pregnancy which concludes with the welcoming of Aiden.

As the days are each crossed off of the calendar and the final day of the month draws near, excitement overwhelms me with anticipation of meeting my youngest son Aiden Xavier Hiett. Oh how my heart yearns for him to be near me. Oh, what joyous pleasure shall become of his eldest brother and I when we can all learn and play together.

Rachel is working tirelessly at finding a fitting halloween themed outfit for young Aiden to wear home from the hospital and we are now about to purchase an infant's car seat which will enact as his fine chariot for that fantastic ride home to a yet unknown location.

Heaven is no trick,
Hell is no treat!

At 11:27pm the cool September night your mother and I witnessed her red glowing ball blaze across the sky as NASA launched another mission to the moon. This time not to the surface of the moon but instead to study the atmosphere of our Lunar sister via the unmanned space craft LADEE. A sophisticated piece of equipment and a well spent 280 million dollars as we continue to expand our minds and captivate the hearts of the younger generations. I just wanted to mention this monumentous occasion as it was such a beautiful sight that your mother and I shared together and because as time progresses and the data from the mission becomes ancient archives the youth of the world may find in LADEE a bit of inspiration towards further discovery.

August Update

August has officially arrived. And now it is time for me to keep you up to date on happenings and events within this month in regards to your greater development. To sum it up in one word "Motion". Yes, you are indeed finding a whole new found freedom wherein you are doing everything you can to walk/crawl/jump and otherwise move around in order to explore everything. You have discovered a new game which you quite enjoy playing with yourself. In this game you grab a ball, any ball seems to work fine for you, wiffle ball, mini basket ball, mini football, full size foot ball, mini dodge ball, tennis ball, the cat's ball essentially any ball that finds itself within range of your tiny fingers. After having acquired said ball you will toss it, at which point you will chase it down, pick it up, and toss it again. Exceedingly amusing to your mother and I in that you are technically playing fetch with yourself. At first we had a slight thought that this sight was a little bit pathetic in nature that you should not be resorting to playing fetch with yourself, however as we attempted on numerous occasions to join in this sport along with you we would find that it only tended to frustrate and irritate you. You truly seem to believe that this should remain as a solo sport, and well it gives you great amounts of exercise so to that end we are delighted.
You absolutely love animals at this point. You will chase down cats and dogs alike to give them a simple pat and when they attempt to lick your face you smile begins to glow. This week we took you to the Berkeley county fair just outside Martinsburg West Virginia where you were able to see all sorts of animals including cows, sheep, ducks, goats, chickens, rabbits, and pigs. This adventure was quite the delight to you although our first run through you slept the entire time, however after you had indulged yourself with a hearty nap we returned to the fairgrounds at which time you received a proper introduction to all of the various livestock.
This summer you have found a special fondness for various new foods such as chunks of watermelon, cantaloupe, pulled pork, and most especially the cheesy covered butterfly potatoes from the fairgrounds.
We just renewed the domain hietts.info for the low price of $8.11 from our sponsor website Richmond Daddy and the renewal is good for a year. Your mother and I concur that this is a fantastic deal considering that entry to this blog with this domain is easily found at jacob.hietts.info as opposed to just using the link to my blog account. It also includes several additional features such as email accounts that we can all utilize, the ability to include a subdomain for your younger brothers name when he arrives, and several other great things.
I also finalized my schedule for the upcoming semester in college and I am looking at being able to graduate this coming spring. Having children and being in skool presents several financial obstacles nonetheless we continue to keep moving forward to a brighter future. At some point it will all pay off for the greater good and your mother and I will most likely begin registering the hietts.info domain in 10 year stents to secure ownership of it for our family for several decades to come.

And on the subject of the hietts.info domain It is my great pleasure to announce that as of August 21st I discovered that this domain has achieved an Alexa rating making it actually quite valuable. For that fact especially I will be including a rating and value widget within this posting just below.

July Update

July is a fantastic summer month. It contains both Independence Day and 31 sweltering hot days filled with sunshine. This specific July also included for you time spent in the small kiddie pool filled with water over at your Grandma Pearl's house. Wherein you found your efforts equally as enjoyable splashing the water as it was spending your time pulling up blades of grass which rested just outside the edge of the pool. After getting several blades of grass clinging to your wet hands you would find that a simple quick splashes would quickly rid your hands of the dangling blades just in time for you to reach over and pull up some more. This practice continued until the bright crisp blue water gathered a sudden blended shade of green.

We also received first images of your little brother AIden, whose name, I have decided will always be spelled with a capital I in effort to give his name a slight tribute to my Grandfather, Larry Whitacre. His middle name being Alden. You will note the slight resemblance that AIden spelled with a capital "I" and Alden spelled with a lowercase "L" actually present the onlooker with. Your extremely witty Great-Grandfather made mention of this remarkable irony to me over the phone one day at which point I felt this tribute to him would be delightfully perfect to account for his limitless supply of comedic relief for any situation.

I was also able to schedule all of my classes for this upcomming fall semester where I will continue to push forward to the soon realization of having a degree. Also, with it a much brighter future for yourselves, your mother, and I. It has been quite a struggle so far and I certainly do not expect anything less for the coming months but in the end it will have all been well worth it. Working now to find any little 100 or 500 dollar scholarship I can acquire to help fill about a $4,000 slack we have in our annual budget this year. My efforts are therefore increasingly intense upon finding any side job or part time work I can scrounge as well.

Regardless, my web development website, Richmond Daddy, continues to increase in traffic and popularity so it is with great optimistic view of the future that I say this budget issue is a slight set back in the now that will ultimately realize itself in a much more secure time yet to be.

This has been your father's take on the world of parenthood for this month. Join us again in August for a look at the struggles of getting a 3 foot tall young man to walk.
